“Grandpa, can you tell me a story?” "Sure, Sota. Which story do you want?”
“ A new one”

Grandpa puts Sota in bed. And tells a legend.
“In that case, there’s an old legend my mom told me when I was your age. Do you want to hear it?” 
“yes, please Grandpa”

“Nine centuries ago Astral was divided by the Dragon race, Demon race, God race, Giant race, Elf race, Mermaid race, Human race, and Witches race. One day something changed, a murderous group of six members appeared bringing Chaos, Death and Destruction wherever they went. Together they were called Natural Disasters.”

“What happened next?”
“It was told that the races came together to banish Natural Disaster to a void where they would remain asleep for 100 years. Since then, every 100 years they came back to possess a body, but every body they entered ended up dead 40 years later, and they returned to the void. waiting for 100 years to pass.”

Sota falls asleep and grandpa leaves his room. Utsunomiya Saiki walks up to her father.

“What do you think you were doing father?”
“I was telling Sota a story.”
“He is too young for that story. He’s only 12.”







The moon shines over the city, whispering a good night to the kids. A bright light came out of Utsunomiya Sota’s house, bringing a terrible fire with it. Sota wakes up and tries to leave but the fire is too big. 

“Mom! Dad! Where are you?”
As he rushed downstairs, he saw a black figure. The black figure with two lifeless yellow eyes locked at Sota, causing him to pass out. When Sota woke up he was under an unfamiliar roof.

"Where am I?”
“You at my house young Sota”
“Ms. Kazehaya?”
“Please call me Suki”

Sota looks around, seeing nothing but a room with a bed and a desk.
“You know, you were asleep for 2 whole days”
“What happened?”
“You mean you really don’t remember?”

Sota looks at her confused.
“There was a fire at your house, unfortunately you were the only one who survived.”
Sota runs out of Kazehaya Suki’s two-story house.
“It can’t be. It can’t be. It can’t be.”

Sota gets to the place where his house was but it was all burned down filled with dark empty ashes. Sota kneels and starts crying. Kazehaya finally catches up to him. She sits on the ground and sets her hands around him, hugging and giving him confort.

“I’m sorry Sota, I wish I could take your pain and sadness away but the only thing I can do is to take care of you for now on.”
Kazehaya takes Sota back to her house, and makes him a delicious lunch of meat ramen.

“Thank you Ms. Suki”
“I told you before that just Suki is fine, and besides I’m glad I was the one chosen to take care of you.”









The sun is shining bright in the sky, as Sota leaves for his first day in middle school. Today is May 5, the day when Sota turns 13. As Sota gets to class, he sees a girl sitting all by herself while the other kids say mean things about her.

“Today, we have a new student here with us.”
The teacher asked the girl to go to the front of the class and introduce herself.
“hum. Hello, my name is Miyashiro Megumi. Huh, and I’m from Kurokunai city. ”

The teacher thanks Miyashiro, for introducing herself.
“Can someone offer to show her around?”
Sota looks around and sees the others with angry and scary looks.

“I can go, Ms. Tatsuki."
“Thank you Sota”
Sota and Megumi leave the unwelcoming classroom and walk through a silenced hallway, where silence is the only one who speaks.

After finishing the tour. Megumi decided to go to the school’s field. When Megumi started to draw a sketch of the great tree, a cold strong wind blew knocking down a nest with three little birds.

Megumi rushes towards the nest, gets on her knees, and puts the nest in her hands.
“Are you little guys alright?”
She decides to examine the poorlittle thing.
|Their wings are broken. With a fall that high it’s no wonder.|

Sota sees her kneeling on the ground and taking care of the baby birds.
|What is she doing?|
Megumi puts her hands around each one of the birds. A green light comes out of her hands, making the trees and the ground shake.

Megumi opens her hands and puts the nest in a safe branch on top of the great sakura tree.
“There you go. Your wounds will heal in 1 hour.”
Sota couldn’t believe his eyes.

“How did you do that Miyashiro?”
“Huh, What are you talking about?”
“That was ancient magic wasn’t it?”







Megumi and Sota walk home together.
“For how long?”
Megumi stayed as silent as the wind passing by.

“You can trust me.”
“Hum. In that case, I think I have had it since I was 4.”
As the night comes in like a brush painting the dark blue sky, Sota gets to Megumi’s house.

“By the way Megumi, what made you trust me?”
“I actually don’t know. I just felt like I’ve already met you before, and that I could trust you.”
Sota looks at Megumi's face, happy and confused with the situation.

“Anyway, thanks for taking me home. You really shouldn’t have to.”
“No, it’s alright I wanted to. Cause besides I’m your friend n-.”
Sota suddenly feels a headache and passes out. His mind was trapped in a nightmare, one even hope couldn’t help him.

Sota is back in his house as a 12 year old, awakening from his slumber. His house in reddish yellow flames, burning and destroying everything in its way. Sota runs downstairs to the kitchen, it’s too hard to breath and see clearly. Sota sees a Black figure looking towards the window, sliding left it’s face towards Sota. Seeing it’s yellow-ish empty eyes, his face is lightened by the fire.

“Sota, wake up!”
|You finally started to wake up Urekston?|
“W-who’s there?”

Sota, wakes up and looks around. He’s in a guest room in Megumi’s house.
“Are you alright?”
“What happened?”
“You passed out and stayed unconscious for 3 hours.”

Utsunomiya Sota, was the only surviver when his house burned down. A neighbor took care of him as his second mother. 2 years after his house burned down, he started to have nightmares and visions, of what happened in the past.&nbsp;
