Fracture in Time - Chapter: The King and The Demon
Once
upon
a
time,
in
the
kingdom
of
Syvahend.
A
prince
was
born
who
brought
peace
to
a
war.
He
grew
up
in
fame
being
praised
by
all,
given
all
he
wanted,
given
all
he
could
ask.
He’d
been
blessed
by
fortune,
not
only
being
royalty,
but
being
seen
as
a
godsend,
born
in
a
time
of
despair,
shedding
light
onto
the
darkest
of
times.
Growing
up,
he
wouldn’t
interact
with
many,
seeing
more
use
in
knowledge
and
imagination.
He
was
a
gifted
child;
in
smarts,
strength,
and
even
Magic.
On
sunny
days
he’d
bask
in
the
sun,
enjoying
it’s
warmth
as
he
practiced
his
Light
Magic.
On
rainy
days
he’d
hide
himself
in
the
darkness,
indulging
in
books
and
practicing
Shadow
Magic.
One
day,
a
horrible
storm
came
down
on
the
kingdom
of
Syvahend,
causing
destruction
and
panic
to
all
it
reached.
The
storm
was
brought
on
by
a
demon,
a
heinous
beast
with
yellow
eyes
who
sought
not
power,
but
devastation.
The
prince
took
an
oath,
leaving
the
safety
of
his
home
and
riding
into
towns
to
save
all
he
could
from
the
storm’s
path
of
annihilation.
The
day
ended,
the
storm
passed,
but
the
destruction
the
demon
did
was
all
but
reversible.
He
grew
up
some
more,
the
heir
to
the
soon
to
be
inhabited
throne,
but
the
demon
returned,
seeking
even
more
destruction
than
before.
Unfortunately
for
the
kingdom,
the
prince
was
out
to
sea,
scavenging
for
lost
relics
that
he
deemed
too
dangerous
for
anyone
else
to
attempt
to
find.
On
his
return,
he
saw
a
ruined
kingdom,
the
only
surviving
relic
being
his
home;
Cyasadiell.
He
hurried
to
the
tower,
climbing
step
after
step,
and
what
did
he
see
at
the
top?
His
father,
shaking
hands
with
the
demon,
laughing
and
talking.
They’d
been
in
cahoots,
how
could
he
have
been
so
blind?
His
rage
got
the
best
of
him,
and
he
destroyed
the
top
of
the
tower,
leaving
his
father
to
the
hands
of
fate
as
he
fell
to
his
doom.
The
demon
was
powerful,
too
strong
to
fight
in
the
center
of
the
only
remaining
place
he
could
call
his
home,
so
he
created
a
solution;
he
flew
over
to
the
sea,
and
used
his
third
Magic;
Earth
Magic,
and
ripped
the
land
from
the
ocean
and
coast,
creating
the
Forest
Moon.
The
battle
was
fought
for
days,
a
long
and
tiresome
battle
of
the
two
unimaginably
strong
beasts,
but
the
king
came
out
victorious,
freeing
the
land
of
Syvahend
from
the
demon’s
tyranny,
once
and
for
all.
