City of Clearwater Chapter 1 Draft

&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;The skyline above the city was as clear as its namesake, and it was a bright yet soft and understated blue color. Not a cloud could be seen, if one was looking up. The city itself was situated directly on a rather large river that cut its way through the center like a dividing line. The ebbs and turns of the river further divided the city and gave its skyline a reflective quality when the sun hit the water the right way and bounced of its calm waters and danced across the glass of the buildings above it. The city was named after its founding location and its founding family took on the name to forever remind themselves of their task to keep the city as prestine and proper as the water they relied on. Along its banks the city grew as a powerhouse of trade within the land locked region and became the sole reason that the area was able to grow and advance the way it did into becoming a major Matropolis despite being so isolated from the rest of the world around it&#x26;nbsp;by the thriving wildlife that existed when it first started. Now the city was a thriving city center for not only a still thriving market system in Stocks and Bonds, but it was also the major work center for the suburbs that surrounded it. &#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;Alexander Clearwater made his way along the river that his family was named after, each step took him closer to the college campus he attended. He could have easily taken a car, or had someone drive him given his families influence in the city and their wealth. But Alexander just wanted to be alone with his thoughts and his music as he made his way toward another boring class he didn&#x2019;t have any issues taking. Despite his noninterest in the classes his father forced him to take, Alexander had no issue getting nearly perfect scores. If it was not for the fact that he found those classes so utterly boring and dry, he might have been seen as a perfect student. Yet despite his perfect attendance and his near perfect record even his teachers could see that he had no desire to be there and would just allow him to do as he pleased during class. All though that wasn&#x2019;t true for every class, Despite his other teachers action, his Math Teacher refused to let him do anything but the assigned work and if he had nothing else to do, she forced him to grade papers for her if he finished early. It was part of the reason he wanted to just be able to enjoy his morning walk that day, as he knew he was going to be bored and stuck grading papers for his first class of the day and that knowledge caused a pang of sadness to grow in his chest. &#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;To call himself gifted felt wrong to Alexander, though its exactly how others described him. Asif being forced to take medication that dulled his creativity to allow him to focus on a task or tasks he found horrendously boring was something to be proud of. Or the fact that despite some of the best mental help and dietitions help, he still found himself suffering from Binge Eating and the never ending feeling of being hungry despite having just ate. The thought of his Binge Eating caused his stomuch to growl in hunger and he sighed to himself as he pushed his hands into the pockets of the beige slacks and used the nail on this thumb to push against the skin on his other fingers to the point that it felt like he was about to draw blood hoping the sensation would cause him to forget his untrustworthy stomuchs hungry protests. Each step forward however only made it worse as he knew he was going someplace he didn&#x2019;t want to be. Alexander sighed and stopped walking as he looked up to the clear sky above him and found that there was a singular white cloud above him. It was small and whisper thin, But it was there a clear blemish on an otherwise perfectly clear sky.&#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;&#x201C;Least you might turn into something useful, a raincloud brings alot of happiness to the crops and the grass. Must be nice to be able to get to travel where the wind takes you huh Mister Cloud?&#x201D; He slowly lifted his right hand and held it up to the sky as if he could snatch the very cloud out of the sky and put it into his hand. The light of the Sun made the black pawpads on his palm and finger tips feel warm, and the soft white fur that covered his body just barely matched the pure white of the cloud that drifted far above him. Yet it looked just out of reach. As he looked at how well his fur matched the cloud, his eyes drifted to the edge of the scar that was still an angry pink and it caused him to quickly clench his hand and look back down from the nearly cloudless sky and stuff the hand back into his pocket. &#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;What did it matter if he continued to head toward his collage class he wondered? Alexander knew that his father could get him literally any job he wanted, if he even wanted a job to begin with. Their family had been the sole leader of the Town since its founding, with very few exception through out the generations that lived within the town. Alexander looked up once more to find the image of the School in front of him to be something that left him numb and feeling without purpose of his own. He was tempted for a moment to turn around and walk away, return home and take anything of importance with him as he fled from the place that had become his entire life and Prison. Unfortunately he would find his spirit too weak to do that. He just didn&#x2019;t have the resolve needed to do that. As he turned back to continue his walk however, the sound of running against the grass could be heard quickly approching like a speeding vehicle. Even with his ears picking up the sound, Alexanders reflexes were too slow, and like a blur a figure clad in torn jeans and a leather jacket rushed by him. &#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;Just as suddenly as that figure rushed by, a second and third figure appeared from over the sloped wall both wearing an outfit made of jean material. He recognized the clothing as streetware and after the split second that he took to process the danger he was now in his body froze up as his fear was processed into tensed muscles and heightened senses of danger. The leather jacket clad figure was large, and it was easy to tell he was muscular beneath his clothing and fur. The other two were of average size, but they were Hyenas. Alexanders body reacted out of fear as he saw the symbol on the Hyenas jean jackets and nearly pissed himself in fear as he fell back. &#x2018;The Cacklers&#x2019; were a group of Predators that called the City of Clearwater their territory. They were one of the largest groups in the city and were almost always picking fights with the other gangs that had sprung up in the city over the years and Alexander had been unlucky enough to find himself in the middle of one such fight. &#x3C;/p&#x3E;&#x3C;p&#x3E;&#x9;&#x201C;You looking for a fight coming into our territory huh wolf? Wheres the rest of your pack?&#x201D; one of the Hyenas spat out at the figure in leather, Alexander could only wonder at the fact that he was a wolf, as he couldn&#x2019;t see the front of his face and had never met a wolf before so he had no knowledge of how they might smell. The other Hyena cackled like a witch in those old movies and Alexander couldn&#x2019;t help but feel a shiver of fear in his body as he started to slowly move away. Despite being a Polar Bear, Alexander had no understanding of how to fight and didn&#x2019;t even know how to defend himself if he needed to. The leather clad figure just laughed back with a dry and snarky sounding laugh that left Alexander feeling he didn&#x2019;t take this seriously. Instead of answering he just settled into a strange stance, like a Sumo wrestler who was at the same time a boxer.&#x26;nbsp;&#x3C;/p&#x3E;

&#x3C;p&#x3E;Alexander is the only son of the Famous Founding family of Clearwater City. With the world being availale to him thanks to his families vast wealth and power, Alexander just wants a place to belong and a reason to wake up each day besides making his family happy. After an encounter with a Leather Clad Wolf who leads a strange group of Punks trying to fight for the soul of the cities underworld, has Alexander found his true Family? &#x3C;/p&#x3E;
