If you’ve already watched Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1, then chances are you are wondering when the next two films will be coming out. With no Season 5 on the horizon, as the film trilogy will conclude the epic struggle between Kibutsuji Muzan and the Demon Slayer Corps, Kimetsu no Yaiba fans will be anticipating the release of the last two films.

The bad news is that there’s still no official announcement yet from series creator Koyoharu Gotouge, or from production companies Ufotable, Aniplex, or Shueisha. Fans might feel anxious given the uncertainty. It took five years between the release of the previous film, Mugen Train, before we received the first part of Infinity Castle, after all. But there are a couple of factors that could alleviate this anxiety.

Firstly, as there will be no new Season for ufotable to produce, that means all hands are on deck for the production of the second and third films. Unlike the time between Mugen Train and Infinity Castle Part 1, when ufotable had to also craft Seasons 3-4 as well as the feature-length compilation films, the entire team will be focused in adapting the final arcs of the Demon Slayer manga into film.

That said, it might take fewer years for ufotable to complete Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 2. If we estimate the development time for Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1 as the time between its announcement and its release, it merely took ufotable less than a year to complete. It’s also worth noting that the quality of the animation didn’t get sacrificed by this relatively quick turnaround time. As we’ve noted in our review, Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 1 had magnificent animation.

We could probably expect the same development time for the last two films of the trilogy, which will see the Demon Slayer Corps fighting against the remaining Upper Moon demons, and then stalling their fight with Kibutsuji Muzan until daybreak. If the same schedule would be followed, then we could probably expect Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Part 2 to come out in July 2026, with Part 3 coming out in July 2027.

However, that doesn’t include any allowance for possible breaks for the studio. After all, the film made hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue, so the animation team has the right to take a short break.

Accounting for these breaks, it would not be farfetched to estimate the release windows for Infinity Castle Part 2 to be in 2027 and for Infinity Castle Part 3 to be in 2029. This is corroborated by reports from anonymous sources by Anime Rave. Given the pace of the trilogy as well as where Part 1 left off, it’s also likely that Parts 2 and 3 will have longer runtimes compared to Part 1’s already epic length. This would also mean additional time spent in production for the last two films.

With these information in mind, fans really have a long wait ahead of them, as they will have to wait for four more years before the epic and heroic tale of the Demon Slayer Corps concludes. What are fans supposed to do while we wait?

Well, there are a couple of things we could suggest. Firstly, fans should revisit Mugen Train and remind themselves of the quality of ufotable’s animation. This is not only to remind us of their superb skill, but also their consistency and their ability to deliver in the big moments of the series. Secondly, fans could check out the most recent game release in the Demon Slayer series, Hinokami Chronicles 2.

Finally, fans can also try out Demon Slayer Fables on FableVerse. Fables by VoyceMe are self-contained stories that let fans interact with their favorite fandoms at a level of intimacy and fidelity that they have never experienced before in other media. Fans can explore alternate or What If scenarios of their favorite anime, or chat with their favorite anime characters. For Demon Slayer, the FableVerse has the reverse scenario of Tanjiro Kamado turning into a half-demon while serving with the Demon Slayer Corps. There are many stories that will surely pique fans’ interests, and there are more stories being developed by VoyceMe’s esteemed authors for fans to enjoy.
