Let’s face it - being an anime fan means constantly falling for characters who will never exist in our world. We don’t choose the waifu life; the waifu life chooses us. And honestly? I’ve made peace with that.

Over the years, anime has given us some unforgettable best girls - fierce, adorable, mysterious, and everything in between. So, here’s my completely biased, slightly down-bad list of the Top 10 Female Anime Characters I’d Totally Date - because if I ever get isekai’d, I’m shooting my shot.

1. Android 18 (Dragon Ball Z)

Let’s start strong - and by strong, I mean literally. Android 18 is the textbook definition of cool and confident. She doesn’t need anyone to save her; in fact, she’s the one doing the saving (and flexing while at it).

She’s got that cold-but-caring archetype perfected - the kind of woman who’d roll her eyes at your jokes but secretly enjoy them. If she can fall for Krillin, maybe there’s hope for the rest of us normies too.

2. Nami (One Piece)

Ah, Nami - the Straw Hat crew’s navigator and every fan’s favorite heartbreaker. She’s got that mix of beauty, brains, and bad-girl charm that’s straight-up irresistible.

Sure, she might rob you blind, but she’d do it with style and a wink. And honestly, if she wanted my wallet, I’d probably just hand it over. She’s a classic waifu - ambitious, clever, and confident - and I’d sign up for that adventure any day.

3. Sakura Haruno (Naruto)

Say what you want - I will defend Sakura forever. She’s been through the wringer and still came out stronger (and fine). Her glow-up from Naruto to Shippuden deserves its own filler arc. Many fans say she’s the most useless of the trio, but she’s definitely the most datable.

She’s smart, driven, and loyal to a fault. Dating Sakura would mean endless encouragement… and maybe a few punches to keep you humble. That’s fine, since she can heal me with her medical ninjutsu after all, so she can beat me up all day if she wanted to.

4. Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan)

There’s no way around it - Mikasa is one of the most intimidatingly beautiful women in anime. That scarf? Iconic. Those abs? Legendary. That loyalty? Terrifying in the best way.

She’s the embodiment of the strong, silent type. Heck, I have to admit that if I did end up meeting her, I’d probably be intimidated. She doesn’t say much, but when she does, it hits hard. I’d feel safe, cherished, and slightly terrified - and I’d love every second of it.

5. Hinata Hyuga (Naruto)

Hinata is the purest soul in anime. Period. From the shy girl who couldn’t speak to Naruto without fainting to the confident woman who stood tall beside him, she’s proof that quiet strength can outshine any jutsu. Naruto would have never proven the baka allegations if he failed to recognize that Hinata is the one.

She’s gentle, kind, and endlessly supportive - the kind of girl who’d cheer you on while you’re still trying to figure things out. If she could fall for a numbskull like Naruto, then you gotta believe it we all have a chance, too.

6. Zero Two (Darling in the Franxx)

If “toxic but worth it” were a person, it would be Zero Two. She’s chaotic, flirty, and has that dangerous energy that makes you want to risk everything just to keep up. I’d pair with her any day of the week even if the odds for survival are very low.

Zero Two is the perfect example of why anime fans stay loyal - she’s unpredictable and passionate, but deep down, she just wants to be loved. Although personally, I might not go as far as sacrificing my life with her to save humanity. No thanks, Hiro’s here to do all the hero work. I’ll stay here daydreaming about waifus.

7. Yor Forger (Spy x Family)

Sweet on the surface, deadly underneath - Yor Forger is the ultimate double life fantasy. By day, she’s an awkward, kind-hearted mom figure; by night, she’s literally an assassin.

Dating Yor might mean never eating a good meal ever again when she cooks, but I’d still eat whatever she gives me so she won’t feel hurt. She’s deadly and dangerous, but her nurturing side is exactly what makes her the perfect waifu (and mommy).

8. Nobara Kugisaki (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Nobara doesn’t play the submissive anime girl trope. She’s stylish, fierce, and fully aware she’s that girl. She rocks her own brand of confidence - hammer in hand, curse energy flaring, looking like she walked straight off a runway.

She’d probably roast me for being a simp, then buy me a drink out of pity. And I’d thank her for it.

9. Rias Gremory (High School DxD)

Rias is a full-blown goddess in human form - elegant, intelligent, and with that mature aura that makes you feel like you’re not just dating her, you’re leveling up your life.

She’s got “main waifu energy” written all over her - the kind of partner who would spoil you, protect you, and maybe drag you into a supernatural battle or two. Totally worth it.

If you already know Rias then first, nice to meet a cultured gentleman here on our blog for once, and second, you already know what you’re getting yourself into - and you’ll like it.

10. Shouko Komi (Komi Can’t Communicate)

Not every dream girl needs to be loud or explosive. Komi proves that quiet girls can absolutely steal your heart without saying a word. Her shyness is her charm, and watching her try to connect with others is just adorable.

She’s the kind of girl who’d make even small moments feel special - the way she looks at you, the soft smiles, the effort she puts into every word. Dating her would feel like a slice-of-life anime in the best way possible - getting to see a special side of her that only you get to see.

Final Thoughts

From badass queens to cinnamon-roll sweethearts, anime has given us an entire multiverse of perfect women - and yes, I’m proudly simping for all of them. Whether it’s a powerhouse like Android 18 or a gentle soul like Komi, each of these girls embodies something we all crave: strength, kindness, and a little bit of chaos.

Would any of them actually date me? Probably not. But until I get isekai’d into their worlds, I’ll keep watching, shipping, and simping respectfully - because real talk, no one does “dream girl” like anime does.

Luckily, regardless of what my real-life chances are of landing a waifu a date, I can always shoot my shot and simulate my conversations with any potential date with FableVerse. The authenticity of the conversations I can have with Character Fables is so realistic that I feel like I’m really talking to the actual character, no cap.

So, if you’re like me who’s desperate for a date with Nami, FableVerse got us covered.
